SHAANDAR SINDHI FAMILY NO. 1 Programme at NOIDA
OBJECTIVE: To motivate the young to speak in Sindhi by adopting a reality show format with
FORMAT
1. An all India Competition is to be organized in two rounds. The Competition would be basically to find a Sindhi Family all over India that is able to speak in Sindhi fluently, know Sindhi culture & sing in Sindhi. As many as three generations/members of the family should be able to speak in the language.
2.Round 1 is to be conducted in towns in coordination with a Local Association in each town. Competition could be conducted in 6 towns per zone .
3. Round 2 would be a National round where the top three winners of each town would compete.

- COMPETITION:
Each team shall be given 10 minutes. Moderators & Judges for the competition shall be from Organising Team of Sindhi Family No. 1
Criteria for Competition
The Competition is open to all Sindhi families.
Each Team consists of 3 members only of any sex aged between 2 to 90 years.
They may preferably represent generations of the same family or belong to the same family.
You may/ may not give a unique name for your Team.
The competition will be judged in 3 primary modes: Sindhi Skit, Sindhi Knowledge & Sindhi Recitation.
Composition of Team: Full marks for all youngsters Team.
Full marks for Teams representing 3 generations of the same family or all youngsters.
All members need not participate in all events.
Skit: Time allotted for this is 5 minutes.
It will be judged in 4 areas namely; Content, originality, Diction, Conversation skills and Overall presentation.
Skit can be from Sindhi Literature, Translations of skits or film sequences, or original scripts.
Question & Answer: Time allotted for this is 2 minutes.
There will be a rapid fire round of about 5 questions to assess the Teams’ knowledge about Sindhi culture, personalities, festivals etc.
Recitation: Time allotted for this is 3 minutes.
Musical Instrument accompaniment is optional and limited to any one instrument only.
Can be Team or solo performance.
The recitation can be from Sindhi songs, Poetry, Drama and literature, any topic in Essay mode, or even a translation of a Hindi film song.
Each family is given 10 minutes for their presentation. In case any of the rounds take more time, the time allotted for the balance round shall be reduced. Time is of the essence and marks shall be reduced if it is exceeded.
